After the massacre of athelite in the 70s Munich olympics every nation that has hosted the Olympics since has ensured a fully trained security team was in place to deal with all likely threats. Many security staff were armed, equally many were highly trained and at least equipped with batons. High numbers of armed security officers were deployed right across every event.

Now we come to London where G4S and the Government who are tasked with providing security for the event, London the capital of a nation whose leaders have welcomed extremists and terrorists to take advantage of our insane immigration policies.

So G4S has been hiring almost anyone who can stand up to train in 2 weeks to be security officials for the event on not much more than the minimum wage, none will be armed, non will have batons, stun guns or pepper sprays, many if not most will never have had any previous expereience in security work.

Now we find out they cannot find enough dole wallers and bums to turn into instant security experts so the govt is going to bring in 3500 soldiers................Unarmed soldiers to provide security against terorism in a city noted for harbouring most of the worlds worst extremists.

I'm sorry but in my opinion only a complete fucking idiot would take his family to London 2012.
lol, yeah they are arresting people quite often for olympic plots.

I decided to keep away from 2012 games, lets hope nothing happens
While I'm not able to prep as much as you guys I have stocked up inthe last few weeks specifically because I am expecting some Shiz to happen at the Olympics. I think at work even though I am a couple of hours away from London we have some sort of back up/lack of leave should we need it and I can't see why.

Ho hum.

As much as I do honestly believe something will
Happen there is still the whole feeling of false flag we need to protect you from some unknown threat and thy is why we need this extra security measure or spying ability that won't get turned off or repealed after the event.

Other than that, there is something in the news annoying about the Olympics every day. Yesterday the 3500 army security. Today nomine but mcdonalds allowed to sell chips. Woo
I've already turned down or cancelled two meetings people wanted to have with me inside the M25 Necropolis, partially for cost but primarily cos of the risk.
You can't get hotels anyway. Firms have block booked them just in case and are handling them themselves. It's a tad too late to do anything until after the olympics.
I'm tempted to go out and buy two more CB handsets for wifey and spoilt brat cos this cell phone reliability and security issue is worrisome, and I for one dont think all these banking and cell phone system problems happening now is a coincidence either.

isnt this why we have GHB's for just such an event?
this having to be in touch with people 24/7 is a strange thing to people of my generation, 20 years ago the only people who had mobiles where people who were self employed and none of the general public had one, these days i see people walking down the road with a phone clamped to their ear, i say to them " it can be surgically removed you know!Tongue" but i never get a reply, there is an awful lot of "Dont make eye contact" these daysBig Grin

If I was to close to it as it appears you may be, I would beg steal or borrow a motorcycle or mountain bike and keep it very close for the duration of the Olympics.

Yup thats true, but sadly kids because of stupid security issues are not allowed to take much if anything into school, including Cell phones, I Pads, Knives, torches, lighters, chemicals etc, so in the lads case his is struggling for kit. BUT more importantly for both him and wifey both are very often not able to access news feeds thus they rely on me for breaking news and SHTF warnings. As I pointed out before she was out of reach for 2 hours on 7/7 and neither had any idea anything had happened til i tracked them down. GHBs only work if you can actually contact your family member and tell them to react immediately. Since 911 and especially after 7/7 I have little faith in the cell system bveing turned on during a big crisis.

One of the problems reported AFTER 7/7 was analised is that many of the specialists that were required to attend the multiple crime scenes could not be contacted cos the authorities in London shut down many of the cell systems just incase more bombs had been set.

Twenty years ago we only had to contend with a few dozen IRA terrs and they generally issued warnings about the bombs ( not always though) Today we have possibly thousands of jihadists wanting to kill us and they dont issue warnings.
very true, and doubly so for anyone living in a big city but i havent lived in a city for 13 years and i havent visited one for 3, the worst problem we have down here is tourists driving down country lane who stop and slam it into reverse without looking behind themBig Grin i havent ever seen a Moslem never mind being threatened by one.
Imagine the chaos if someone shouted "Fire!" or "Gas Gas Gas!" or "He's got a bomb" in any of the crowded areas, like the corridoors or public transport. Or if someone started cranking one of these within earshot of the stadium
