we are going to see it here soon
Yup even the loony left in Greece is saying " we should be given" When they already have been given hundreds of billions of Euros over the last 15 years, Its a great example of how society should never adopt any socialist policies.
Did you know Greece has the highest university graduate rates (per 1000 people) in Europe?

Maybe education isn't the right way to deal with this problem.....

Education alone achieves nothing, welfare support achieves even less, public sector jobs drain the economy.Mass immigration lowers overall living standards

If we want a country that thrives a place with full employment a place with a healthcare system even Barney would like all we have to do is pass three laws.
1 Leave the EU
2 Stop all immigration into the UK
3 Pass a law that requires every shop, business or trader to sell 50% of their goods and services that must be British made.

Both left and right have let our wealth creating manufacturing base disappear, that must be reveresed.

I'm not sure we would be able to support...or afford....this last option. We buy tshirts for £5-£20, and they're made from sweatshops. If they were made in the UK, they would be costing closer to £100+. Also food options would be so hugely limited, and unable to support the current population. So practically speaking, it wouldn't be possible. But I get where you're coming from with the principle.
Sy if we had full employment in the Uk and we had to make our own TVs, Cars, Clothes, Shoes, Tools, etc they could and should cut income tax to under 10% and if we pass laws similar to what we have now regarding quality ( sale of goods act) we would get clothes etc that lasted much longer as well.

Its been at least ten years since I saw a decent quality T shirt made from Yank or Egyptian cotton, the crap coming from Asia doesnt last 10 washes.
the price of everything is up and the quality is down or the price halfed and the quality reduced by half again
I recently tried buying my growing son budget priced trainers from places like JJB, Brands like Dunlop, Lonsdale etc the soles wore through in under 3 weeks.
quality goods cost crazy prices these days
