The title NEWBIE being attached to new members of our community, We have all seen in recent weeks that nearly every new member to our community has usually within one or two posted added something very useful and positive to our knowledge and files.

A prepper is a prepper and so far I've found the newest to be just as motivated and well informed as those old dinosaurs who have been around since Mel Tappan invented the genre Survivalist.

We already rock by not having different silly grades of membership or limited or restricted acess that is elitist and divisive, SD has created a superb forum that is mainly self governing and has almost no moderation, I wonder if we could find a way to do with this NEWBIE title thingy, I'd rather have nothing or just the term "Prepper"

This isnt a complaint BTW just NR thinking aloud ( I do sometimes think y'know )

when i started here was called newbie for little time when i made member made me fill accepted sounds silly i no but thats how i felt
They can change it. I put that label on for the 1st 5 posts because it may give some of the more vocal members a view that these guys are new and need a bit of slack.
its not necessarily a stigma, being called a noob generally would be though, but we dont call em that Smile

and theres a difference between being a newbie to prepping and being a newbie to this forum, i just see the member title as saying im new to the forum Smile

anyone else half expect to open this thread and just see the word "socialism" and nothing else?
