maybe not enough rootin' tootin' rodeo style public speeches we see so much of in movies for most people
but as boring as the guy may be........ he does have a few valid points.

if you don't vote your vote automatically counts for whoever is currently in power I believe.
which means by not voting you are actually voting for whoever is already in.
not 100 % sure though , never paid enough attention.
i always say in you dont vote at election time then dont complain about the result afterwards!

yep but the ones that don't shut up after that must be prepared for a nice long talking too on politics. that usually ensures they don't mention it again to you.
