scurvy is something easily forgotten.
with some of the rubbish Sheeple eat i'm surprised it hasnt made a comeback already!
believe it or not there is similar problems already occurring.
one is thiamine deficiency. (vitamin b12)
people skipping breakfast not bothering with bread etc.
I assume scurvy wont be far behind.

there is a lot of people with wheat intolerence these days, got a friend with it he has to have a special diet, i am sorry but i dont think anyone on a special diet will survive WTSHTF.
not unless they are smart enough to find an alternative now.
things like diabetes can be regulated using clever diets.
insulin wont be around so any diabetics should start seriously looking into dietry control and alternatives.
as should anyone with special dietry needs.
theres always an alternative , well 99% of the time
It is why it is important to get garden ready that can give a ballenced diet. Lots of plants that give more vit C than the obvious orange

Oranges taste horrible as well
That's WHY I bought a dehydrator ....oranges,lemons,limes tomatoes, mushrooms, and still doing more stuff, for this very reason...also vitamins ( range of ) and of course my garden will be bursting with veg and fruit good post BP
Totally agree about orange tasting awfull.
I also get the runs from them.

I believe carrots have just as much vit c as oranges but not sure. someone here will know.
actually carrots are rich on β-carotene also known as vitamin A.
