Advice for preppers when TSHTF
NR

1. Never become a refugee as once you become reliant on the state you become just another figure on a list of no value to those tasked with feeding you. Accept food aid if offered along the way but never allow yourself or family to be herded into any sort of camp.
2. Once TSHTF the ONLY place your EDC knife should ever be at any time is about your person.
3. Once TSHTF your personal defence weapon (PDW) should never be more than an arm’s reach away from you.
4. The government is not your friend and it’s not there to help you, it exists only to tax you and control you.
5. If you get injured or killed who will look after your family, don’t play soldiers in a survival situation, getting into fire fights should always be your last desperate act.
6. As soon as the SHTF treat all sources of water as suspect and filter it before use.
7. Remember we are only nine missed meals away from anarchy, after three days without meals your neighbours are no longer your friends and will come for YOUR stuff.
8. After TSHTF trying to scare off intruders will only tell them you are there.
9. If you see your neighbours loading their cars and fleeing you have probably left it too late to bug out.
10. Don’t keep all your food, fuel and supplies in one location, if you lose your sole single cache or stockpile you lose everything.
11. It doesn’t matter how well armed or equipped the other side is, if they cannot see you they cannot find you, not being detected is always your first choice of defence.
12. If it does not feel right or look right then it’s probably not right, trust your instincts.
13. After TSHTF Roads are for refugees, pastures are for preppers , the authorities and bad guys will try and control the roads.
14. The only ways to ensure you have the right kit in your bag and the only way to be sure your vehicle is ready etc is to check it yourself.
15. At night torchlight can be seen for dozens of miles.
16. A cooking fire can be detected by smell from up to 8 miles at night and light from a camp fire can be seen from over 10 miles.
17. After TSHTF be suspicious of all broadcasts from the authorities as they could be trying to round everyone up for such things as forced labour or confinement in camps. Try to access news from independent sources and overseas news agencies.
18. If you use a gun to bring down a game animal you may get more than just a meal because during the day gun shots can be heard up to 3 miles and more than double that at night, your shot is telling everyone in earshot that you are there, so consider doing your hunting with a bow instead.
19. If laid up in a BOL or Hidey hole never use the same route out and back twice in a row and don’t forget to pause frequently to look and LISTEN to see if you are being followed back to your shelter.
20. Bury your waste and the remains of your camp fire at your camp site don’t leave any sign you were there as this only helps hostiles track you.
I cant fault any of those
