Iv had to break into the supplies a couple of times in the past due to illness and the loss of a job.
Having food in the house took the pressure off so much.
Ok it takes a while to build the stock back up after munching on them for over 3 months. But knowing that its there for my family means i can sleep at night.
Bar the chicken bits it's pretty much where I'm coming from. I'm having great fun doing camping, archey etc as well as sticking a few supplies away for a rainy day.
me to thats what there for not just shtf stuff its the same as saveing for a rainiy day
same for most people, i'm prepping for ANY and ALL eventualities including the big one!

It would be ironic if you starves whilst sitting next to lots of tins because you din't see it as an event.
That is what they are there for any and all events minor as well as major.
