just got back from the doc and have been told that my tricept tendon has ripped off the bone and that their is nothing they could do ?

anybody know different
Tricep should be able to be reattached. We had a guy at the gym tear his off his elbow and that was reattached. Arm in a cast for ages, surgery and rehab were given free and rapidly.

Is your rip on the shoulder or elbow?
Wifey think either six months rest or surgery are possible options, you need refering to an orthpedic specialist.

Check out private clinics. But can be done on NHS. Docs prefer to leave it as it will heal in about 6-7 months.
That reminds me of the time I worked in a slaughter house and the crane pulley fell of its rail, narrowly missing my head but hit my big toe splitting it from front to back in a quite neat split.

After having to drive myself to hospital (sh*t firm couldn't give a to**) they x-rayed it and it was split front to back.

All the nurse did was um and arr then got an Elastoplast fabric plaster out of the box like you put on a finger cut, put it on my toe and went "all done, stay off it for six weeks" didn't get crutches or anything.

NHS fantastic.
Sunna, Try using Comfrey, it contains allantoin which is a cell proliferant. It has been used in toothpastes. Use it as a poultice and apply warm. It should certainly help and if you can obtain from a chemist the Homoeopathic remedy Symphytun 30 and take it internally. This should help to restore the muscle. Symphytum is the botanical name for Comfrey. If you cannot obtain it locally let me know and I'll get you some but I will have to order it, so it might take a week or two. Kenneth Eames.
sorry to hear that ...long lay off is a bitch but i'd prefer that to surgery wherever possible.
i did it smashing kitchen worktop for me fire they had done up a chippy and all the old tops were in the skip wich was due to be emptied their was a good few weeks wood their so i went at it hammer and tongs diddent know anything was wrong for a few days, then i thought id just torn it a bit so left it a few months got the good news today Sad
I did my back in nearly 30 years ago ripping out a hedge for my then father in law, was perfectly fine that day, next day I was in agony, could lie down, could stand up but I couldn't sit down for weeks, i'd done my lower back in and its never been right since, I've now got osteo arthritis or arthritis of the spine(it affects the legs too), most days i'm not too bad and I can walk for miles but driving long distances are a pain...which is why I don't DO long journeys(anything over 100 miles each way is a no-no).
