Just a really quick post, more of a reminder.

Come Autumn and winter, many people will be looking at getting a quick last camp in while the weather is bareable.

It just so happens that these months are when overhead branches are most commonly dislodged and dropped to the forest floor. Yes sir, that will ruin your camping experience.

So, whether you're camping or even bugging out, Autumn and winter are when this danger amplifies. Be aware what's above you, and be very careful where you place that tent.
In some parts of the world dead fall is a real killer on a very regular basis...very aware of it as i've nearly been hit by a fallimg bough whilst out for a walk with my kids some years ago.
