This video is very simple and makes total sense. It may well have already been posted, but I just found it and I thought it pretty good.

Granted the guy has a knife, but the technique used doesn't actually use the knife, he only uses the knife at the end to prise it open. But you actually wouldn't need to do that. Could just rub some more and then squeeze to pop the lid off.

Neat idea. So easy when you know how.
I think an angle grinder would be more macho though!
