This is what oh came up with last week, when I asked to make a meal from our prepps , the deal was it had to be under a quid for the two of us , hot and filling ....this was the result.

1 tin of potatoes. Aldi,s 19p
1 tin of baked beans aldi,s 25 p
1 onion. Aldi,s 9 p
TBS veg oil. Aldi,s. 7 p
Half oz butter. Aldi,s. 13 p
3 rashers bacon. Farm foods 7 p x 3= 21 p

Method

Chop and dice onion
Chop and dice bacon
Place veg oil in frying pan and sweat down the onions and bacon
Drain off and place on a plate

Open and drain tin of potatoes
Cut potatoes into chunks
Place the butter into a wok or saucepan and when butter has melted place in your potatoes giving them a stir until potatoes start to brown

Then add your bacon and onions and simmer

Open tin of baked beans and add , le simmer until hot

Plate up.!

Homemade crusty rolls ....twisted apart yum yum

After all that oh said ........could have made that from left overs and used the cooked ham up

ENJOY folks
Not a bad meal for less than 50p per head. Sounds bloody lovely aswell.
Try it out rob ....you will not be disappointed pal.
Cheers SS,Love a good cheap meal
Anymore recipes?
Yes there will be more F , oh is always having a go at stuff .....but me being head of R / D and head taster its not easy I have been known to test 7 times to make sure of quality.......life can be a bitch.....but I will soldier on for you all......what a selfless guy I am lol!
Personally, I'm currently loving Spinach at the moment. 1 pack of spinach, some chilli flakes, a little garlic powder, a little ghee, and some grapeseed oil, all in a pan, and you have a stunner of a snack!!!
Sounds good S13 will try that out, anyone else got something ? Jump right on in ......feeling peckish right now!
Today we had Bacon and Bean Burritos. 4 extra large flour tortillas, tin Borlotti beans, jar home made Salsa, teaspoon home mixed Taco seasoning and some home dehydrated mixed veg and a couple of slices of bacon all cooked together, popped in wrap with a generous dollop of greek yoghurt and some cheese. Nomnom. I think it came to about £1 to £1.50.
It's good to eat out of your preps once in a while, gives you an idea of what you are missing ingredients wise to make a meal.
This one might be enjoyable
