This also comes from the article on getting the balance right.

Do you think you have prepared enough?
hi skean
we must be alike on so meny levels?
Looks like it. I think that the prepper mindset forces us to think in a certain way. Don't rely on others, look after yourself, etc. Then we come to the minor differences; Help others, go underground, get armed, sacrifice. Once you are a prepper though these are not that much different at a remote level.

That is one of the reasons I set this up so we could meet like minded people.
it,s great to sound your idea's of people that have the same mind set even if they don't agree with what your doing or thinking, most of my mates live for today only and worry about tomorrow when it comes.
and i can't discuse things about this kind of thing.
i have prepared for a lot of things running all the military lines of planing
but one area that i know i need to start working on now is self produce growing food and animal husbandrie as economic events make the future dark along the old money lines?
that old saying a penny saved is a penny earned needs to happen now for when it get's worse.
if i start doing it now i will learn from my mistakes and can ask all my new friends on this site for help (hopefully)
Grumpy.

That is what this site is about. There are several people that come here that have their own smallholdings and grow their own crops. There is plenty of knowledge here.

I'm the same as you though. I need to get more experience in those areas.
I struggle with "No I'm nearly there" in that I don't think I'm ever going to be nearly finished preparing.
I've still some areas I need to make progress in before I'll feel comfortable.
I always seem to find that just when I think I've got all the bases covered, I discover a thousand and one other things that I hadn't even thought of.
Thanks to this site they're increasing on a daily basis.
At least being aware of them you can plan and prioritise.
where do you start with growing food and keeping animals?
any idea's?
total begainner thought it would be easy but starting to struggle with the planning. has made me realise i need to do it now so i learn
Grumpy,

That is what these sites are about. Keeping reading. I'm learning myself.
