I'm a card carrying trade unionist and would consider myself a socialist and humanist after a fashion but all bets are of after shtf
Does that means your happy as a socialist when everyone else is being taxed or regulated and having part of their money / property / supplies taken and its being shared with you, but when TSHTF and those others come to you and ask you to share with them all bets are off ?
caring for your fellow man only goes so far....people have to try and make there own way not just sit back....and yes if people are fool enough to ignore/fail to grasp there plight and do something about it all bets are off.......am a socialist in respect of I don't want to see beggars on the streets , pensioners going cold and hungry but I don't want a nanny state mollycoddling people and tempting them to base a lifestyle on handouts.....state should catch you when you fall but that's it....enough support to not die of hunger/disease or exposure.
I have been a net contributor all my life so it's my money there divvying out....me and mine have never had a major illness never used legal aid was on the dole for a few months as a teenager , never had any of the benefits available with the exception of child benefit , two of my three kids were/are privately educated and I still believe in compassion for my fellow man when there down , my only proviso is they try to get back up and they keep trying.
we have covered this in a lot of treads before NR as you are aware.....i said in several posts ...what if sheeple including friends turn up at your door with young kids crying for food ,shelter and so on.....i used to think i could not turn them away ...now i am not so sure , to share all i have worked for and struggled to get all these preps for MY family, i cannot just give it away at THEIR expense, this Will hurt me deep its not my nature to be this way and many others on here i am sure BUT when it comes down to it.........there is no choice i fear.....or is there?

SS just think in terms of a family gets to go on indefinatetly or the larger group starves a month later than it would've done.....you won't get away with giving a little aid as they will keep coming back and may compromise/attack/steal when they get desperate enough.
