Butter is back in the good books

And the even better news is you can buy it canned for long term storage.

Red Feather is the stuff we used to rely on in the tropics.

Does anyone know if its available in UK?
a bit too expensive for me NR!

I'll keep on looking.....time was that this was one of the cheapest ways to buy butter
Aye New Zealand butter before we joined the EUSSR
conserva de do tinned butter a fair bit cheaper than red feather...not tried it yet but I can vouch for the tinned cheese that is delicious
I tried their tinned cake and their bread and it was bloody delicious.
a foody prog on radio 4 today says that a total rethink on fats is on the way all the bad boys beef drippin , lard , butter are better for us health wise , with sunflour , veg oil and soya oils the new bad boys.

but still the best is olive oil ... yum
Yeah the wife saw something the other week that said many of these """ Healthy oils"" are only healthy COLD and FRESH, but if you cook with them they can be far nastier than lard or dripping, some sort of chemical change occurs when they are heated up.
the conserva.de canned butter has a nice taste to it and is good for long term storage
but at around £3.90-£4 per 250g thats a lotta money for half a pound of butter
