Just a timely reminder that most of us invest heavily and put most of our resources into our homes / retreats. We more than many people invest all we have in our often unusual or off grid homes, its important we consider taking sensible precautions in ensuring that should something dreadful happen to our homesteads we dont lose everything. Basic property insurance is not that expensive but its one of the few things in modern society we have.

And the more unusual our homes the more important its fully insured.

Poor soul, glad he got help though. It's one of the important things I had to get sorted out when I started out on my own last year. I've got a lot to lose if it's not adequately insured. Can't be reminded too often.
prepping (and self reliance) is insurance too!!
