Anyone have any ideas on the source of this poison gas cloud. The MM are denying it's chlorine gas, yet the symptoms presented, the smell reported, and the yellowish colour of the cloud reported, all indicate chlorine gas.
Also the fact it happened on one of the bussiest and warmest UK bank holiday weekends makes me not rule out a terrorist link. It's not unlikely a terrorist cell may have developed a sea based chemical delivery system God forbid:

Yes LAC very weird , the lid was held down tight on the matter by the MM and the GOV ....all gone quiet for now......very odd !

Yes indeed SS. The other posibility is a chemical leak from a ship passing through the channel, as apparently chlorine can be used in desalination of seawater to make clean drinking water. The English channel has been a hive of activity recently with Chinese and Russian naval shipping passing through escorted by the RN.
Stranger still.....the way the story was stifled so fast...and a Gov spokesperson saying the beach is quite safe to visit and...completely safe... (within 24 hours of the incident taking place ) How did they reach this conclusion so FAST ? ....this is no way a normal investigative protocol ....by any standard.....in my view they already know what the cause is and who caused it.....this would explain their actions ...or lack of it.

Yes BB, and not just the chlorine gas.
You guys really are not devious enough to make full use of the information.
First, there was not a single death reported, just discomfort.
Second, the beaches were evacuated and no one wants to go check the place out, including you guys.
If this was the U.S. there would be civilians poking around that place with hazmat detectors and cameras trying to find out the real reason they wanted everyone gone.
Perhaps this was not an accidental release of gas but was done on purpose to clear the beaches and the general area without creating excess casualties.
The last time I heard of this kind of thing the Devils Tower was in the background and there was a space ship involved!
But Lord knows what they want to slip through the channel while it is free of observers. I know our Navy has developed some really weird stealth ships they do not want people seeing or photographing.

Yes MB your navy have indeed developed some really weird and stealth ships.........its a shame ......they keep colliding with other ships...maybe sending your captains over to the UK for a bit of training could put the situation to rights....
