RE: Exploration for BOLs - Tezauzz - 26 September 2013

As I live 90 miles away from my girlfriend I encourage her to seek out alternative safe locations to survive in until I can get to her or get her to me. I live in the country so I'm in a low risk area (I think) for bandits and the like. As she lives in a concrete jungle (Southsea, Portsmouth) it will only be a matter of time until the population go crazy.

You make a valid point there Rush in the need for concealment, exits, water and shelter, especially as the weather is turning again. An abandoned man made shelter will save time and materials over making camps as you move.

BP also has a valid point in that you should be prepared to travel any direction for safety and shelter. The most direct route may not be the safest and some circumnavigation or back tracking may be required until the path is clear. Prepping for such eventualities is why we're here. A 3 day walk in our current environment could potentially double when faced with hungry, crazy, scared sheeple in a desperate situation.
