on the front it says uvhf ? , iv a booklet when i find it ill fill you in .

66-88 mhz [vhf lo]

108-136.975 mhz[aircraft]

137-144 mhz [vhf hi ]

144-148 mhz [2-meter amateur radoi ]

406-450 [70-cm amateur radio and uhf lo ]

450-512 mhz [uhf hi ]

806.0000-956.0000 mhz [uhf hi ]

quite a decent range there. I think it was 901 and up that carried the mobile phone signal. USed to have great fun listening to peopl rabbit away on their phones. Shame the police are TETRA now, no more evesdropping Sad

The MOD knife isn't up for grabs unfortunately. There's one going on BcUK for £35 though

Well you can get the TETRA radios, but I don't know enough about them to say if you'd just be able to pick up the old bill, or if you need some sort of authentication (which is what I would presume)

They come with a 4 figure price tag though...

My understanding is they come with an key. You got a key you can listen in, no key = silence.

Ah, I see. My brother in law sets these up for the police so if I can get hold of him I'll probe him for more information.
