Anytone AT-6666
I tend to not play with radios nowadays but a little radio caught my eye and I ended up buying it. The Anytone AT6666 is just amazing for a £200 rig and covers from the top end of 25 MHz to over 30 MHz. It also has FM, AM and SSB and does about 45w FM and around 60w SSB.
For those looking for interesting features you can add a ctcss board which gives you far better selective calling features.
Previously I had wrote off 27Mhz as a viable band but at the moment it’s empty and perfect as a survival comms band.
I’m planning some experimental repeater work in the future to increase the range so I will update on this later.

From a company called Moonraker but there is a few companies selling them. I would highly recommend the optional ctcss board which takes 2 minutes to fit. With the additional ctcss you can effectively block other stations and only hear calls from your own group using the same tone slot.
