RE: The car
Yes MB the car is fuel injection, but I do it because of its age.

The car is 22 years old and still working hard, today from the garden centre, four bags of compost,
six bags of gravel and two 50 litre tubs.

“The Car” is a small family saloon, quite low, and I’m absolutely pi55ed off by bloody 4x4’s with super bright headlights which are level with the top of our windscreen and always on mainbeam, don’t german vehicles have a dip switch ?.

I have been looking at LED roof mounting (magnetic fixing) light bars, that’ll teach them Smile .

my car id a Vauxhall Agila only 1000cc 3 cylinders but it is very nippy , great for rural lanes and I have had 10 bags of compost in there, bags of chippings and it will carry 2 blue barrels at a time. I use it like a small van with the rear seats flat permanently.

With the rear seat folded down managed to cram a builders bag and six tubs of garden rubbish in the car,
this week we were down the tip each day.

Once I was driving down a road with one of those bars and the guy in a 4x4 coming the other way was dazzling me. I turned my lights on and fuck me he turned his high beams on and I couldn't see anything. Luckily ballistics and momentum held out until I'd passed him. Been very careful since that time.

The classic (1972) car has been on a charger/maintainer for some time, as it is only used occasionally, and it looks as if may have cooked the battery.

When I get time off from gardening i’ll have to check the acid level, hopefully distilled water will sort it.

When it’s done or if replaced I won’t make the same mistake.

Unfortunately the old battery was well and truly shot, so if I do use the charger/maintainer
on the new battery it will be on a timer ( hour a day ?) not continuous.

RE: The car
had to change my car recently as parts for the older one were becoming like rocking horse droppings.
bought a Corsa, a bit lower than the Agila, having new tyres fitted next week, top of the range all weather tyres, more expensive than what I buy normally but they will last longer.
