The goviment already know that they have to start building more homes in the country and pretty soon they will! Expect to see mass housing projects springing up in a field near you!
In another 5 years there wont be an area you can live that will be free of the flotsam of our EU neighbours.

probably very true, but the people that own the land the weekly market is held on want to sell it for housing, so far no developer has been willing enough to risk his capital on such a venture, even the houses that are for sale are not selling as people dont have the deposit for a mortgage.
I hear what yr saying but a lot can change in 5 years!

It really is simple...forget the gov..or the EU, WHY do we the people just except it ...we have a vote and we are free to use it FFS use it ....just say "NO" do something about it, highlighting a problem and complaining is just not enough anymore...if you need something to worry about, worry about your job, price of food, price of fuel and paying the morgage...thats what fills everybodies lives..yeah you got it, your lives are full of your needs, so that keeps you occupied and thats enough for most people "the self"..which is where they love to hold us sadly no time to do anything about the influx of who ever , just complain....then when you loose your job , or you cant get a house, and the NHS grinds to a full stop...and the system collapses , you will do something then....but it will be to late dontyarknow

In regard to Ghost: spot on. Have you seen the proposals to be able to build on green belt land?

the building industry(of which i have considerable knowledge having worked in it for what seemed like centuries) is going through a bad patch at the moment, no builder or developer wants to chance building houses that dont or take a long time to sell-their money is tied up for to long, its called a RECESSION!Big Grin

Most developers sold 50% of their land bank 3 years ago (the ones that they could sell) i am a ts chippy , most of the boys around here tell me that there is work in bristol , however, nothing about here "south wales" alot of tradesmen have had enough...and moving into new jobs.....if they exist...and out of the building industry forever..and say they will never return, one guy in london had building company for years...but could not compete with the polish influx , chopped his company to the knees, and n ow on the bones of his arse, down sized cause he had no choice, on the bright side his is married to a welsh lass from tredegar.....we are used to hard times down here see...so its not all bad...when they we first married he asked her"how much house kepping money do you need each week " " i can manage tidy of £100 per week " to which he replied ( typical londoner ) here,s £75 ......struggle a bit
