RE: Idaho Fortress
Been done before in Waco and on a smaller scale at Ruby Ridge, In the UK religous and study groups, and close knit communities often live in self contained communities loosly like the Finhorn Eco village, or more close like the Findhorn Foundation or the residential bit at CAT in Wales.

In our country we already have the rich and situationally aware moving into self contained gated communities which is just a posh name for a FORT, We find Christian groups buying up farms and converting them into multi occupancy secluded retreats.

So things appear as normal in popylat fiction

But equally in the real world I believe JWs, Mormons and Jews all also choose to live among their kinfolk in Kibbutzs etc

We also have exclusive residential developments where those who already live there get to decide if new residents would be allowed to buy and move in.

To do as preppers would put us on everyones radar and attract the attention of the tabloids looking for the new bad guys to vilify, so to make it work in the UK we would need to list it as a christian retreat community.
