Germany to close all 84 of its coal-fired power plants.
Relying entirely on "renewable" energy sources will be problematic in the extreme.

The Fatherland has lost its way as a culture.

Importing North Africa is trouble enough.

Voluntarily eliminating the energy that drives a modern manufacturing export economy is simply insane.

Elitist, tree hugging environmentalist may worship the return of Middle Age primitivism.
But I doubt that ordinary Germans will after the first winter without light or heat.

At least in the former East Germany the dirty coal-burning power plants kept the proletariat workers warm and grateful to the State.

RE: Germany to close all 84 of its coal-fired power plants.
The UK is making the same mistakes, we have enough coal to last 200 years and TPTB closed our mines. And are shutting down out last few coal burned power station.

We have vast amounts of shale gas and TPTB won’t let the fracking company’s get it out.

We import 55% of our gas, mostly from europe via pipe line, so are dependent on people who dislike us over brexit.

We once led the world with nuclear energy, TPTB have given our lead away, and are letting the french, the most unreliable nation on earth, build a power station at Hinckley Point. The same type of faulty, overrunning, EDF reactor as the one at Flamanville, Normandy.
It will if/when completed generate electricity at TWICE the going rate.

WHAT A FUCKING MESS.
