RE: is he right.
I think the Lib Dems are finished, besides they were only failed Labour MPs in the first place.

RE: is he right.
I think you're right about the Lib Dems being a spent force , I once held them in high regard as people with principals but sadly they dropped those and moved into the middle ground to get there snout in the trough as the other two parties have done...it's hard to tell one party from the other now....sadly they won't go quickly and it will make politic's difficult.....I want one of the established parties to grasp the nettle and do what the proletariat so obviously want.
Nothing is fool proof for a sufficiently talented fool!!!!

That pretty much sums up how I feel as well.
The thought of Farage as the head of our Armed Forces does worry me! And I'm not convinced UKIP can manage the economy or any finances for that matter.
The risks of civil unrest would probably also increase significantly as tensions rise between different communities.
I desperately want us out of the EU, the Liberals are history and out of Labour and the Tories, give me the Tories every time.
What I am hoping is the last nights result will focus the main parties and show them that the time for the EU is up and that there is only one way that the UK is going with regards to the EU.
As for the 2017 referendum being a false promise I cannot see anyway that the Tories would be able to not fulfil that promise at this stage.
So for me if UKIP get in we are out of Europe; If the Tories get in we are out of Europe, but if Labour get in, then they want us even more integrated with Europe!!
So the reality is that the anti-Europe vote is being split between the Tories and UKIP, whilst the traditional labour support is staying loyal and Labour is also mopping up the old Lib Dem votes as well.
So like it or not, the better UKIP does the more the vote is split, which will result in Labour becoming odds on favourite to sweep back into power and then we will be well and truly stuck with inside the EU with Labour giving up yet more powers to Brussels! Then we will have riots on the streets!

if we stick with the "same old, same old" nothing will change, sometimes you got to take a leap of faith and try something new, people are so fed up with the lies of the old established parties, they have had enough.

I'll put my head above the parapet here and say that other than the Europe issue, I don't have any real issue with what the Tories have done........
They have largely sorted the mess that Labour created, they have cut out huge waste and expenditure within heavily bloated public services, they are dealing with welfare issues (as far as they can with the Lib Dems holding them back) and the economy is growing.

RE: is he right.
the Tories will ALWAYS be seen as the party of the rich, giving tax cuts to their millionaire buddies whilst capping and cutting benefits to the poor, and Labour are no better, they are held back by their trade union/Marxist allies. don't forget Gordon Brown was spending money--your money-your taxes-right up to the eve of the general election, and it was Balls who got him to sell off all our reserve gold just when the price was at its lowest. Lib Dems? well I think they are a busted flush as our American cousins would say, I don't think anyone will trust them ever again. can UKIP do any worse? I doubt it and unlike the majority of the current lot most of them had REAL jobs before turning their attention to politics.

I've not seen any of this that is any different to what has happened under any other government, with perhaps the exception of the last Labour government.
But Labour has a lot to answer for in creating the biggest and most expensive Nanny State and Welfare system we have ever seen - it's no wonder the country was nearly bankrupt. People got so used to having things given to them on a plate that they no longer take responsibility for any thing. The British public need to learn to rely less on the Government and be more self sufficient - after all isn't that what prepping is all about? it's certainly part of the reason why I started increasing my levels of prepping.
Even now, if you compare what our Government does for us compared with the US, then you will see that we still have it good compared to the US by a country mile.

RE: is he right.
Ah Barney you love good ole Labour the ones who doubled council tax and imprisoned pensioners who could not pay the higher tax, the same Labour that laid off thousands of student nurses during the agenda for change, the same Labour who surrendered to the IRA making terrorist leaders into Ministers and prosecuting soldiers who dared defend themselves, Good ole labour whose education policys turned our schools into total failure. Don't make me laugh Barney
Here is the TRUE face of socialism and Labour
