I think Iran will be the primary target of any new U.S / Allied aggression in the mid-east.

Syria may be the touch-paper , light syria up with a few cruise missiles and see if Iran responds , if they respond then Turkey will move south to secure a de-mil zone - like Korea.

This then ties up Syrian ground forces on a 2 front war , the U.S needs Turkey to move before it follows up in Syria....if the U.S moves first then Russia will stand behind Syria and speed up the rearming of Syrian forces.

But if Turkey moves first , Russian involvement is seen to be interfering in a bush-war border dispute and hence - raising the stakes,which brings the U.S and its carrier groups onto the board.

Either way , I think Iran is the target , Syria the catalyst , Turkey the touchpaper and Israel the opportunist waiting in the wings.

The worse thing Syria or Iran can do is target the Israeli nation , they do that then both nations are toast.

Egypt is the spanner in the works...what the egyptians do might be a decisive factor to any operations success , internal conflict in Egypt is exactly what the Israelis / U.S and allies need right now.

Palestine is merely the side-show to the main act.
