at the moment, there is nothing illegal with having a full cupboard, larder or whatever, it is only in times of hardship...war,famine,floods etc. that someone who has had the foresight out of their own pocket to store extra then gets called a HOARDER just because everyone else spends it on fags, booze, foreign holidays etc.etc.

It's a lifestyle choice - no more, no less. In my opinion we are all equal and free to do what we like as far as reasonably possible. If one person decides to go on holiday whilst the other one acquires an extra box or two of cornflakes instead of going on holiday then good luck to both of them. Society can put as many labels on each of them as they wish. Some labels may be nearly accurate and most will be wide of the mark in my experience. That is life.

yeah, sure, thats right, UNTIL something goes wrong and then its their RIGHT to be housed, clothed and fed at everyone elses expense because they havent bothered to do it for themselves( the afore mentioned fags, booze and foreign holidays came first!)

Yes indeed they did - frustrating isn't it?
But you are not obliged to help out in their hour of need as they were not obliged to take you on holiday etc with them.
The Government may be obliged to help out - to a degree - but if too many jump on the bandwagon they could move the goalposts as I suspect they will. If there is no Government, of course, no one will be obliged to help any one. Life is a competitive sport!

TPTB have a track record of not helping joe public when SHTF (Last years rioting,Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Katrina), that is why we prep, because if SHTF no one else will come and save us.And people who can't see this or even worse realise this and put their head in the sand deserve what they get if things go wrong.It's all about priorities , the takeaway or buying a weeks extra food to put away, a new tele or a stove to heat the home.

the trouble is, unless you have good OPSEC, they will come to YOUR house when TSHTF and EXPECT to be fed!!

and not forgetting they may even have government goons to ensure that it is distributed fairly. They take a chunck then issue the rest to the people or more likely they take the lot with a promise to be back. Makes no difference to your neighbours but a big difference to you.

i thought we had all agreed, because of govt cuts to the Army and how the Plods couldn't police the riots, that the govt could not force anyone to do anything, especially after TSHTF never mind now.

In certain areas yes. However Government is more than those clown in westminster. Local council, plod, army are all spreadover the UK. You cannot say the risk is located in London only although that is the most obvious place.

It may be a low risk but can't be discounted.

yes, but the Army will soon be down to 82,000, Plod is well known to be understaffed, i was told by a relative will someone in the Police-they are all on 3 year contracts. you can forget Council's, most dont employ anyone except a few officials...who we never see in the sticks anyway...apart from that its all sub contract. maybe TPTB can control Londonistan but apart from that they would be pretty powerless.
