Door chains and check arms
Apparently a slightly new twist to the increase in home intrusion robberies is happening. What the scum do is just knock on your door as as soon as you begin to open the door they charge it or kick it knocking the home owner backwards, they then rush in and rob the you often using violence. Thought it prudent to remind folks of the befit of will fitted secure door chain / bars to limit how far a door will open to prevent this type of robbery. But remember a super duper high tensile stainless steel chain or check arm is useless if only secured with a couple of screws into a wooden door frame. you need high quality fixings right through the door frame and secured into the masonry beyond.
And folks do get into the habit of keeping those doors LOCKED esp after dusk.
I do like that, looks like it might be of the better quality then the crap that is sold, but no good in a hallway unless very wide.
Any more info on it?
Yea it's a Valiant armoury "bastard Sword"

These are Real Medieval Swords and as such made the way medieval swords were in the past.
As these are real hand forged Medieval Swords, specs can vary with each piece. Perfectly useable in hallways etc, you just need to use the correct technique.

That is the eternal argument Barneyboy, there's lots of historical data to show favour for each approach, but don't forget most swords are capable of using point as well as edge!
