"Deep long drawn out sigh" It you want scaring try and find copies of the stuff Duncan Campbell found out and published about " War Laws" and "Emergency Powers Act" WAR PLAN UK is a good book and a fair bit if it covers the devious legalize they planned on using.

Example
FREE FIRE ZONES FOR US FORCES

If the excretia hits the impeller and US / NATO forces are deployed to the UK, In the areas where they set up bases they are allowed under the EPA laws to establish FREE FIRE ZONES. What that means is for a distance of 7 milies in all directons around their camps they can evict all Brit citizens, Sieze all materials and bulldoze the area flat. The UK govt basically gives these areas over to the US military commander who applies US Military law anyway he sees fit.

Do not think for one second that democratic rule of law applies to the ruling elite of the establishment, ANY threat to their prestige is dealt with. Note for example how the big three parties do not try to disprove UKIP policies, instead they go the populist route of trying to make UKIP and its policies come across as mad as The Monster Raving Loony Party. Or peaceful mass protests are goededinto violence by excessive policing and undercover cops stiring up anger.
