That's quite mad! Where did you hear that? Like proper loans, or just on creditcards?

Oddly enough they were claiming exactly that on BBC TV this morning.

Whilst these two quite sensible and rational community volunteers were talking about real cases of kids actually going hungry, at the same time it was revealled the House Of Lords was complaining about the quality of the food they get served in their subsidised resteraunts. Apparently for every £10 Lords spend on food they get £10.70 added by the tax payers whose kids are going hungry.

Welfare socialist state, your taking the piss. The real needy get nowt and the scroungers get the cream.

It doesn't look good for anyone with a 'normal' job.

We're going to be starved out of our ability to eat/live/survive.
I really think that now is the time to learn as much as possible about eating wild plants, berries, and things like that. Mostly because, in a couple of years time, that's all we'll be able to afford! haha

Hushhhhhh go and work harder millions on benefits and in the public sector need your taxes to live on. Its your duty to keep the rich, the public sector and the benefits claimants comfy, it doesnt matter if your children go hungry.

A few more years, and that will be true for many people.

Prepping is the only sensible thing to do now.

Well Sir for the average normal working class middle earner in the UK they are already seeing 41% of their pay go in taxes to subsidise the state, and there are plenty of lefties and community activists who think it should be increased to 65% income tax so you workers can " care for the needy" in society.

That's disgusting!!!

I'm fricking needy right now. I've just got my own place to rent. I'm not having an easy time sitting on my butt watching Jeremy Kyle (Mayor of Scrote-ville). I'm working, developing business strategy, increasing sales, and things like that. Even with all that effort, I don't get an easy ride.

If someone thinks I'm going to work until the end of July, every year, for some lazy **** they have another thing coming. If that happens, I'm going on the dole! Screw it, I'll get my own place, and never have to worry about paying bills, because they'll never throw me out. If they do, they'll just find me somewhere new to go.

NO you are a rich capitalist private sector pig, with your own privately rented luxury apartment who can afford to buy luxury goods like camping and hiking equipment, use broadband width etc. You are preventing a benefit dweller from living for free in your apartment, you should be taxed at least 50% so your capitalist wealth can be redistributed to needy poor families.

That Sir is why many of my younger professional friends gave up the rat race and bought or made Stealth Campers, or Canal Boats or Cabin cruisers and just move around doing contract work on a self employed basis. Trust me if I had my time again theres no effing way on earth I would buy a house again and fall into the same trap.

I'm working on a way out of the rat-race. My legs are tired and I can't keep running this race for ever. Especially when the race is in a wheel and I'm not actually getting anywhere.

quite right, it's people working jobs full time that just pay the bills that are getting squeezed really hard by this. the problem is that it's not just the luxury imported foods that are going up in price. it's potatoes and pasta and flour as well. the stuff a lot of people fall back on when times are hard.

I think that people earning under a certain wage should be able to get food stamps more than someone being a scrote and leeching off the government and the tax payer!!!
