Building traps

RE: Building traps
The best traps are the ones you make yourself. All you need is a knife & a tomahawk to make them, & you should be carrying these tools anyway. Snares using 7 strand brass picture hanging wire will work fine for rabbit. If you make them & use them properly, your rabbit will be alive & well down the burrow when you come to collect.
Cage traps using the figure 4 trigger work fine for birds, if you use one for rabbits, make sure it is suitably heavy so they can't turn it over. Trail snares for deer, wild goats or wild boar. A spring trap made for predators can also be used if you use the right bait.
The raft duck trap works fine in a survival situation.
Excuse the intro, I played around with music in some of my early videos!

Do not try to understand them, and do not try to make them understand you; for they are a breed apart and make no sense. Natty Bumpo, Last Of The Mohicans.
