Also, I don't think you need to worry about batteries (best to check though) and as long as it's not an LED torch or some over complicated light thrower then you don't need to worry - your bulb will be fine.

If you want a Faraday cage, you'd be better off using surplus ammo boxes. I think the military also use them as Faraday cages for electronics
