My input on this subject is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOUkj2h2LjI I use these nets myself, they are VERY effective & if you Google "Cast Nets" you will find them at reasonable prices & different sizes. Try it. Wink
Dodgy If you always have, on your person, at least 2 ways to make fire, you might be a prepper. Tongue

I've always fancied one of those cast nets, they look pretty effective when you get the technique right. A few other types of net and you would be pretty well set up in a SHTF moment. Maybe Brixham badger could suggest a range of nets traps to use so you could cover all the bases. Once any sort of organised law enforcement broke down I don't see why we shouldn't use them in freshwater to aquire our families an important and readily available feed.
