whats a swag?
A swag is the historical Australian name for what is literally a bedroll. The materials and construction have changed considerably from early times so that the modern Outback survival ripstop canvas versions are much more comfortable, water resistant and keeps bugs at bay. Outback survival Swags are typically made of canvas or other synthetic materials, forming a cocoon which contains a super comfy mattress.
Swags were originally carried by ‘swagmen’, who were itinerant farm workers, usually sheep shearers, that walked from job to job in Australia’s outback during the late 1800's to early 1900’s. Swagmen carried their belongings in a bundle called a swag, which usually consisted of a bluey (a blue bush blanket) rolled up with spare clothing inside a tarpaulin or ground sheet. They also carried a tucker bag containing a frying pan, tucker and a billy or billycan to make tea.

The XL canvas dome Swag from Outback Survival features a Hoop head, Top flap fully zipped , Removeable / washable mattress cover and Triangular base which eliminates sagging & increases height at the base.

The swag uses top quality 14oz proofed RipStop cotton canvas which is a supple & rotproofed fabric.

The mattress is an extra comfy feature which makes this swag exceptional.

This Swag is easy to pitch, store and carry. Can be set up in under a minute

Now, these things aren't cheap. They're also not that easy to get hold of (not for a reasonable price anyway) Cheapest price you'll find them for online is £189.99 ... until now.
