Energy priding issues on the news today.
looks like Mr D Cam is lookinmg to 'simplify' energy pricing...

Could this be the start of an event?
Somehow it just seems too timely along with his statements about 'cutting red tape' with those plans to make it harder to challenge poor decisions made by the PTB...

What do you folks think?

Yup Simplified in government terminology is as shown with the conversion from dozens of different proprerty RATES averaging £150 PA to Poll Tax averaging £545 PA. When the gummint simplfies it always rounds UP to the highest costs, expect bigger bills. move out the city, buy some woodland and grow your own fuel.
Mandy if you feel a sudden sharp pain in your rectum, its the government simplifying the energy bills by bending you over and ..........................................

What kind of event? Linking a decision that will try to ensure power companies to charge people what will work out lowest rather than having consumers try and work out what might be the lowest to a policy decision to cut red tape and bureaucracy? That is a bit tin foil. Energy companies have for too long made pricing structures to complex to try and rinse as much as possible out of the consumer. The average tariff as it stands is something like this:

'In this year of the Lord the price for your gas if you use less than is enough to fill a bus at the pressure that would be required to inflate a shoe in a partial vacuum shall be the same as...'

You get the picture, anyway. If you are looking to link different things to support a conclusion you may or may not already have, you are going to end up as mad as David Icke.

Be more worried about what you are going to heat with in the long term, as North Sea gas will not last forever, although their could still be very significant gas reserves to be exploited elsewhere in the UK.

To echo what NR has said, sky news is predicting price rises for many people based on Cameron's new "simplified" system.

Inferkinginevitable that was going to happen, abso flaming lootly inevitable.

The simplification of council tax saw it go up for 85% of people.
The seperation of the water rates from the ordinary rates saw a new water bill come through the letterbox but the rates bill did not go down.

Simplifying the system is just a backdoor way of shoving prices up.
