I am sure many on here already use the following ideas but just in case anyone hasn't here is a way to get perfect bits of outdoor kit for nothing.

Go to Macdonalds, KFC, Burger King etc.

I never leave without salt, pepper, sugar, mayo, vinegar, ketchup portions of every possible kind on offer.

I also pocket plastic sporks and those wooden stir sticks.

Hotels offer perfectly packaged coffee satchets and of course wash kit fillers of every type.

my mother always had a handbag full of sugar, salt vinegar, etc.

everywhere she went she accumulated it.
as kids we laughed at her.
since me and the OH took up camping etc. ive got drawers full of the stuff.
I just cant resist.
its a worse compulsion than the one I laughed at my mother for.

I have a large amount of those little KFC/Tgi fridays moist towelettes when you jhave eaten greasy food. Ive picked them up after going for meals with a large group and lots have been left over.
