RE: Martial law.
fair enough Jack, but like i said, areas like mine where there is nothing of tactical value will be left to get on with it as best we can, on our own.

The US is going downhill now because they too have followed the path of socialism. It leads to decline and eventually bankruptsy. It is inevitable but socialists believe thet this time it will be different because they are leading it. Human nature though winds out every time.

RE: Martial law.
I know this is slightly off topic but politics and martial law are I suppose very much hand in hand...
Though I wouldn't put myself in this demograph I like the idea of 'social collectivism' as portrayed in Allen Steels 'coyote' series of books... A VERY good read if your into scifi and survival, its also heavily post SHTF orientated... The social collectivists are actually the bad invading force that the frontiersmen and women battle to hold on to their own beliefs and way of life but read the book and see what you think. I spent my last entire holiday poolside lost in the world that was unfolding.
To round it up in a post related conclusion; frontier martial law becomes government invaded by home world government defending as militia...
It is my belief that to be prepared information must be deseminated and distributed as quickly as possible to those that have the ability to teach and deliver those lessons they learn
Those that can not teach must be taught to act that can not act must be protected that would mock ignore and harm be addressed.

RE: Martial law.
without repeating myself in previous old posts.......LOCKDOWN in AMERIKA is coming....the Boston "exercise" for nailing a couple of patsys or real terrorists was over the fu##ing top .....BUT tptb did it ...so know its now possible. Everything is linked imo....gun control/people Kontrol/population control is round the corner for our Amerikan brothers and sisters....a sad day indeed ...ive said already laws have been pushed thru...they are trying to kill the real American spirit....but thank F##k for the likes of Nugent ,Heston and NRA and other pro gun lobbys . how can the rest of the world stand back and watch this once/still great nation go to the wall for the new Nazis?? I watch most of the channels of so called news from FOX(faux) CNN,and the BEEB....but they don't /are NOT allowed to cover real threats and laws passed !! my god we shud have RT instead of BBC ...so until then I will bet my last "pound " coin...not euro...that the yank decision makers will up the ante on more psy op shootings to push their agenda thru as quick as possible. Tanks will roll, main street the USA will be blocked off.....it makes me sad to think this will be a reality....WAKE THE FUCK UP AMERICA /CANADA.

its not just America, what happens over there usually comes here too, bit of a time delay i grant you but it eventually gets to these shores, whether our Govt has the bottle to do it is a question, but as i've already said they dont have the numbers, of Army OR Police, to control every single mile of this country, so will concentrate on the cities-where most of the population is anyway after all-so if anyone is really worried now is the time to think about moving further out from the cities before it all comes to pass.

RE: Martial law.
I think the US has an even larger area and would struggle even more over there to implement martial law NATIONWIDE!!!

The stupid thing is trying to move away from where you can afford to be, over to where you think you should be. Okay, let me explain.

Th government implements martial law and there's a major lockdown. All shops closed, and nobody to leave their homes. If you live in an apartment complex, you have more space to move in than if you live in a normal house. Many apartment blocks have other facilities available, and best of all, if you're cool with your neighbours, then you have a network and a group available without you even leaving the building you're in. Now, this is where it gets weird.....why would you want to leave your house if there was a lockdown? The shops would be closed, supermarkets, and all the rest. There's nothing you could buy. The cinemas, bowling alleys, and restaurants are closed. The pubs and bars are going to be closed as well. What are you going to do then? There's so little around, why would you even want to leave your house? At least if you were in the city where every apartment block is enclosed, you can see friends and neighbours, look out for each other and the alike.

To shut down a town, the easiest thing to do is block the roads. Once a few roads are blocked, that's the best part of the town closed down.

To be fair, living in a rural area is possibly going to get you killed. I'll expand on this idea. If we're all placed under house arrest, and there is a 'shoot-on-sight' rule for the police and military, then think about it...if you're all cocky believing you can walk around because you're not seeing police on the ground, you'll likely leave home, outside in the open, and a helicopter with a sniper, or some drone flying around, will see you and stick to the rules....BANG. Target eliminated.

Whether it's martial law with a curfew or not, whether it's urban or rural living, it's still best to play it safe. I'd rather be up in Bristol in the city with a load of mates in the same housing block as them, than sat around at home bored with no friends around, while my stock of coco-pops starts to run dry!
