Todays useful plant - the Cuckoo Flower
It's in flower right now, very commonly found anywhere the ground is wet. High in Vitamin C, it was used to cure scurvy, and is usefully earlier than most fruits.

Here's an easy one to recognize, it's in flower or seed right now, the Dandelion.

It's all edible, and very common. I've found that the seed heads are good for catching sparks from a firesteel so you can start the fire you boil the roots over.

Lots of info on PFAF: http://www.pfaf.org/user/Plant.aspx?Lati...officinale
