15 heads of cabbage, I added teaspoon and half salt to a pound cabbage and I used sea salt, also I cut the cabbage quite fine.

This will give you long term food stores, so you can have stock throughout the year.

RE: Sauerkraut
he he that’s sour grapes, but no this thread is most defiantly about a long term food we should all make, like it or not it is a must have.

I would like to see more threads food related, biltong anyone every made this stuff? or chutney, elderberry tonic would be good to see peoples take on that.

Skean Dhude I am sorry I placed these food threads here thinking I could not post in the Food section of the forum, I just did a test and I now know my mistake, I tried to post in Food and not Food subforum, if you don't mind can you place all my food threads over there and sorry for the extra work load.

The posts are:

Sauerkraut

Hardtack

Well my grandad fought the Kaiser and my dad fought Adolf, so I'm up for round three.

RE: Sauerkraut
The point is will anyone have the money to fight another war? The strongest country in Europe at the present time is Germany, and if the rest of Europe collapses economically what will we be able to do? Take into consideration what the US is doing in the sea around Syria and consider what could easily happen. The US like Europe has economic problems. It could well be the East that will dominate the economic future. Will Europe become another United States of Europe? Could it be led by Germans? What can a hanful of Preppers achieve when the country is full of sheeple? Our only hope is to pull together. Kenneth Eames.

Plus I doubt if most of the people in these countries would actually go to war now, especially against our EU neighbours. We just don't have the same patriotism we had because it has been beater out of us in our new socialist paradise. Our army should do but have been emasculated by twenty years of socialism and EU integration.
