RE: Post H Katrina review from SB
Good post NR. Our town of 2,000 got hit by Hurricane Rita two weeks after Katrina. We didn't have the problems that the large cities did. There was no looting (probably due to the fact that Texas families have guns, lots of guns. We did get three or four bus-loads of "refugees" who were initially taken to the rodeo grounds but when these people started acting "inappropriately" (about thirty minutes after getting off their buses), our sheriff and a few deputized civilians with shotguns got them all back on their transport, and the sheriff escorted them to the Shelby County line where their sheriff escorted them to the Panola County line and so forth. I believe the refugees were finally allowed off their buses somewhere west of Fort Worth...
If at first you don't secede, try, try again!
