I think my marriage would be OK, but don't know how well the wife would go if she couldn't be hanging out with her friends a few times a week. Not to mention having her extended family staying with us (as I hope they would in a SHTF situation), and realising that when her parents make a suggestion that she should follow through, as they have been through something similar before.
