nuclear weapons
Since 1945, the United States has lost 11 nuclear weapons.
I thought we had satelite detection systems for that kind of thing?
They say dont worry we can detect nuclear materials...
Obviously not then or they'd have found these by now!!!Big Grin

RE: nuclear weapons
Sat detection systems? The technology is just not there. They put a deviceon the weapon a bit like a top end car trackers. If it is removed or disabled it is invisible.

A nuke, like everything else is just a bomb. Albeit a very powerful bomb but there is a lot f negative press on nuclear explosions so they develop alternatives such as the fuel air bomb, Used in the file Outbreak, and the Mother of all Bomb, MOABs used in Iraq II.

However, I suspect Russia has a lot moremissing than that.

On the plus side the need regular servicing. The devices and the detonators are not easy to make and the material loses potency over time.
