The Met office are giving an early warning of the risk of heavy thunder storms and severe flooding across most of England this Saturday, so time to clear your gutters and make sure your drains are flowing freely....

If more people followed this kind of basic advice (including local authorities clearing debris from drains, etc), I'm sure these kinds of weather events would have far less impact.
