I have some unexpected errands to run this morning that might compromise the time of the start of my transmissions this afternoon.

I'll still aim to meet the plan, but anyone who's set up please go ahead without me.

I'll post a note here 1 hour before starting transmissions.

Ha ha... it happens.

FYI my Morse transmissions were picked up in Northern and central UK, and I have one confirmed call logged. All on SSB of course.

Band was quite noisy today so any contact can be considered a success.

Let us know when your coax is found and the station operational and we'll try again.

I whistled ( 4 blasts 4 times ), and something replied, the signal strength was high but I couldn't clarify it at all.

I'll sort out a better antenna during the week. I had intended to make a phased dipole because I could only find rg59, but ran out of time and lashed up a temporary dipole instead.
