But aren't we going through that process/change at the moment???

For the Liebour years socialism was thriving and the result was that it crippled and almost bankrupted the country, the country is now trying to get away from this, but too many people got used to being supported by the state, rather than forging their own destinies.....

Socialist failed in Russia, East Germany, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, China, Nam, Cuba, Venezuela, Poland , Albania and the UK. No matter how its rehashed or renamed it ALWAYS fails.
I remember Wilsons LABOUR government leaving us with rampant inflation, power cuts, strikes, militant tendancy and a Deflated pound.
I remember Callaghans LABOUR govt leaving us with massive miners and dock workers and print workers and car makers and steel makers never ending walkouts and economic collapse.
I remember British Leyland producing obsolete cars that no one wanted that were badly assembled by a militant workforce being wiped out by better quality, better assembled, better equipped cars that were CHEAPER from Datsun
I remember British steel when not on strike producing steel that was more expensive than French, German and American steel, but the UNIONS would not allow modernisation and rationalisation.
I remember the NCB Coal Miners RIGHTLY , FAIRLY and JUSTLY stiking for decent pay and conditions around the early 70s, and they bloody well RIGHTLY got a 27% rise, then next year they were back demanding a 30% rise and when the govt said NO they was strikes, riots, murders, abuse, intimidation and a complete refusal to MODERNISE, all whilst coal could be bought from America, Australia and South America that was not only CHEAPER but the supplies were more reliable.

I remember one TONY BLAIR, JOHN PRESCOTT etc being elected and promising not to raise taxes and to take care of British familes and the UK, First things he did was take away MORTGAGE TAX RELIEF which blighted millions of young working class families trying to buy their first home, Then he took away the Married Persons Tax allowance sticking it to the poor working class families again, Then in under 9 years he allowed COUNCIL TAX to more than double and these SOCIALISTS actually imprisoned elderly pensioners who could not afford the massive tax hike. Then he drove up the price of petrol so much it crippled the poorest in the country the RURAL poor, Not o mention lying to Parliament and starting illegal wars, massive fiddling of expenses, assisting Pro Paedaphilia groups, oh and of course hiring millions of new PEN PUSHERS whilst SACKING thousands of NURSES under LABOURS NHS AGENDA FOR CHANGE. Whilst not forgetting opening the borders to millions of immigrants and terrorists and bankrupting the British economy.

Aaah the joys of Socialism so enhance our lives

If you don't create the wealth you cannot create REAL jobs, if you do not create the wealth you cannot fund the Welfare system, If you don't create the wealth you cannot have an NHS, and by attacking the bankers, speculators, big businessmen etc and those who worked their way up from nothing all you do is stifle wealth creation and often dtive the money abroad, EXACTLY what has happened in FRANCE since HOLLANDE the SOCIALIST took over.

That's the Socialism creeping in again!!

Why do you need to top up their 'benefits'??

All you are doing is creating another level of public service employees and we already have far too many of them, and once you start that they will never look for a job, start demanding wage rises and other benefits etc.

Work to earn your benefits yes, but don't make it a comfortable option!

NO BENEFITS except for PENSIONS and FUNDING for Public Service Veterans injured and maimed serving the community should be payable for more than one year in any five year period AND ONLY TO THOSE WHO HAVE PAID IN FOR FIVE YEARS.

The Slave Labour is people like my Missus and her colleagues who hold down two or more jobs in the NHS, nursing and caring for people ( often self abusing fatties, druggies and alcs) and getting hammered for 40% income Tax and 14% NI all to fund the idle and feckless on welfare. Or Soldiers working 70 to 80 hours a week providing cover for striking essential services and only getting £14K a year for the honour.
