From a return on the time you will spend learning how to code plus the simple fact that access to computers after an event will reduce daily until there are none left you will get a much better return on a few hours learning something primitive such as keeping bees or chickens or even a mechanical skill like metalwork or woodwork. Those skills will last a long time.

I'm with you on this.

Don't get me wrong guys, I prioritise my precious little spare time on much more important things like-
1. Personal fitness
2. Learning/practise of skills- Herbology, firecraft, camping, trauma medicine, etc
3. Homestead- Cooking with basic ingredients, with one pot etc

Having said that, I refuse to write anything off, so I'm thinking of spending my sick leave (out of action at the minute so can't do anything physical) by learning some stuff using the Raspberry Pi or Arduino whilst teaching myself every knot I can.

Cheers for the input guys.
