The only viable answer i keep reaching is to not live anywhere near cities. NR

The islolationist approach can work to an extent if everyone in the community follows the same principle. However I am reminded through reading about the Black Death at University that whilst this approach worked for the "bubonic" form of plague (spread by infected fleas on Rats) it does not work for the "Pneumonic" airborne strain spread by coughing, sneezing. Although the virus can only survive for a short time outside it's host, given a good breeze it can cover a fair distance before dying.
Maybe it would be a good idea to formulate and discuss some disease protocols for the varying possibilities. If we can be ahead of the game, if and when it happens, our community/families would be well served by being prepared
