Public Corruption Taints Clinton Campaign
https://pjmedia.com/trending/2016/04/25/...ed-or-not/

A number of conservative politicos have predicted that scores of FBI agents could revolt if their investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server finds overwhelming evidence of criminal wrongdoing and the Justice Department refuses to indict her. According to their theories, not only could there be mass resignations, including that FBI Director James Comey, but there could also be major leaks of unauthorized FBI investigative materials to the public.
On Friday morning, a powerful sitting senator also suggested that the FBI may leak reports of its investigation if the agency believes prosecution of Clinton was thwarted for political reasons.

During a breakfast meeting with the Des Moines A.M. Rotary club, U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said, "If there’s political interference, then I assume that somebody in the FBI is going to leak these reports and it’s either going to have an effect politically or it’s going to lead to prosecution if there’s enough evidence.” Grassley went on to acknowledge that it would be a crime to release such investigative materials. “I wouldn’t be encouraging it because if it’s a violation of law, I can’t be encouraging a violation of law,” he said. “This is kind of my own opinion, this is something I’ve heard.”
On Monday morning, Fox News' Judge Andrew Napolitano told Maria Bartiromo that while it was "highly unusual" for a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee to anticipate such an FBI leak, he agreed with Grassley's take.

"He would not be surprised if FBI agents who truly believe that there is enough evidence to indict Mrs. Clinton and to convict her on both the email charge and the public corruption charge, will feel frustrated and stymied by the political people in the Justice Department and will want the public to know what they know," he said. "If that class of people -- it would be more than one person -- leaks information to the press, I agree with Senator Grassley, if there is a leak, and if what is leaked is credible... the president could have a Saturday night massacre/Watergate-style disaster on his hands in the last six months of his presidency."

This would not just spell trouble for the Clinton campaign, but for the entire Democratic Party as the party faithful fumble around trying to defend their "crooked" nominee.

"I don't know what Grassley knows, but I do know that it is generally known in Washington that the same team of FBI agents who investigated and led to the prosecution of General Petraeus, is investigating Mrs. Clinton. And many on that team believe that General Petraeus got a slap on the wrist, and because the evidence in Mrs. Clinton's case is exponentially greater, they do not want to see this happen again," Napolitano said.

As for Comey's timetable for wrapping up the investigation, Napolitano said that "no one knows what his deadline is. Last October, he led us to believe January. In January, he led us to believe May." The Fox Business panel agreed that it was unfair to the American people for this investigation to drag on and on with no deadline.

"We do know that they're nearing the end of their investigation," Napolitano said. "And we know it because they have called in her five closest aides....And the last step in this investigation will be to invite Mrs. Clinton in. She says she can't wait to talk to them -- probably not true. Nobody being investigated by the FBI can't wait to talk to them!"

Judge Napolitano argued that Clinton is in a lose/lose situation on this front. She can go in and speak to the FBI, which is "the politically safe thing to do" but also "legally treacherous for her." If she doesn't go in, she incriminates herself by not cooperating with the investigation.

Hillary Clinton continues to maintain that she is not under criminal investigation, characterizing the FBI probe as just one of many "security reviews" that are being conducted.

But Napolitano said on Fox News' America's Newsroom Monday that "this is about as serious an investigation as there could be.... The FBI does not do security assessments, the State Department does. The FBI does criminal investigations."

He said on Friday that he believes the FBI has more than enough evidence to indict and convict Clinton.

“The evidence of her guilt is overwhelming,” Judge Napolitano stated. “And the FBI knows a lot more about it than I do.” He said he is “100-percent certain” that the FBI has enough evidence to indict and convict.

Whether she is indicted or not, Hillary faces a catastrophe, Napolitano says.

"Probably so catastrophic that she will be replaced on the Democratic ticket."

Hah Public corruption is the norm in UK politics, I do not believe there is any party in the UK that is not riddled with corruption.

If this had been any normal person they would be sitting in clink while plod sorted it out. They have more than enough to arrest her on some charges whilst they prepare other charges.

The same goes with Fast and Furious and probably many others that we don';t know about.

Western justice has always been the best you can afford and this shows us exactly what justice is like in the US and how corrupt the whole government is.

I really do believe people the world over SEE the corruption of its governments and leaders and have had enough....but define enough.....are we up in arms , are we saying NO ......or do we except the corruption as a normal endeavour..or just trying to fit into the day to day stuff of life, this of itself is more than enough to keep most of us busy ...paying our way.....to think of people like Clinton is far removed from most peoples day to day worries and has no real effect on our lives.....big mistake ! but try explaining it to people who worry about jobs/getting a job ,paying your mortgage, paying rates, or just food or heating or any utility bills ....that's what people are most concerned about ....and here you have so called contenders telling you they have the answer to make things better for you .....all they need to give you all you desire is......your vote.....that's all your vote....then once you give them that its a big fuck you ! for the next 4 to 5 years.....so say NO ....withdraw the one thing the only thing that gives them the approval they seek to have power over you....YOUR VOTE ...

SS I dont think so, in general except for radicals and zealots most people do have a price that they can be bought for, be its millions in bribes or something as simple as promises of a better tomorrow by failed political parties, every facet of British political society IS corrupt even flag and banner wavers like UKIP sadly, Heck even parts of ISIL are accepting bribes. The rich Tories use the old school tie / old boy network to keep themselves in office, Labour will sell out to anyone who promises to vote for them and never keep their word. The whole lot is rotten and we could (and shoot) all the current crop but the next lot will be no different.

RE: Public Corruption Taints Clinton Campaign
Pardon my French Mon ami but personally I cannot see ANY fooking noticeable difference between the Labour, Lib Dem, Tory, Green parties in the UK, they have so much in common including being totally devoid of Patriotism, Morality or Loyalty to the ordinary british people. Yes sir our vote is our ONLY tool because those control freak bastards have used a few very tragic but rare terrible crimes to disarm us. If the Brits still had freedom to own guns the establishment would have been shown the door by the people during the Poll Tax crisis, Today the Tories no longer make any pretence of caring about the masses, banks and big businesses totally control them. Labour absolutely has no interest in the white, hard working, mortgaged, tax paying white British families, it see's us as useful fools, The Lib Dems both of em are jokes, and the Greens are idyllic and dangerous. So that means we have to move our votes to the further reaches of the left and right EG The Europhile, pro immigration, pro multicultural, socialist / marxist high tax large state far left Versus the Europhobe, anti immigration, pro mono-cultural, middle ground capitalist, low tax, small government very patriotic far right.

So because of the EU and who ever you like but include Blair, Brown and Cameron & Corbyn we are now becoming ever more fragmented and divided as a country.

So set aside my own politics its clear to all the ENTIRE GREAT FOOKING Northern Hemisphere is becoming MORE unstable and insecure AND MORE DANGEROUS.

(Kindly not that thanks to Merkel, Hollande, Cameron and the EU in very many European cities our women and girls are now told to NOT use public transport on their own ESP after dark, Not to use Railway stations without a male chaperone, not to go swimming alone, not to walk out alone after dark) Heck our kids cannot even go to a Rock concert or ride a tube for fear of being gunned down or blown up, and on top of this our established political parties have bankrupted us !! So now we face ever higher taxes for ever poorer public services.

So the only tool we have left is the vote ( for the masses and us) and prepping / self reliance for us alone.

So we see mass migration of millions from the middle east and Africa who dont want to integrate and see our women and young boys as items to be molested and whom think we should all become Muslim, we have one very pissed off Vlad Putin because the bastard EU has stuck its nose into Ukraine, our economy is in tatters thanks to Bankers and Socialists, The EU is strangling us to death with its Federalist plot to create a single UNELECTED, socialist Federal Europe (EUSSR). etc we really are in the shit.

So why any surprise that a few enlightened nationalists and patriots stuck their heads above the parapet and instead of being stomped on ( though god knows the establishment tried its best) We now all see names like LePenn, Wilders, Orban, Farage, Trump etc see millions of ordinary people flock to their banners. All of whom I support BUT thats not the point .

Just as millions of ordinary people say enough and flock to the Europhobe low tax small government nationalist right , nearly as many are flocking to the Europhile high tax big government federalist left, that means the chances of insurrection, insurgency, civil wars, riots, extremists, repression, police state, martial law, lost civil liberties etc increase massively.

Thats what scares me.

RE: Public Corruption Taints Clinton Campaign
The more I have seen of public corruption, the more I loathe it.

It's frustrating to me that such a simple, yet pervasive behavior is not only difficult to define as to its causes, it is also extremely hard to eradicate. Like many behaviors which are counterproductive, I suspect it's roots are to be found in our genes; after all, stealing and then consuming food from one's neighbor has the definite survival benefit attached of not starving to death.

The fact that so many people, who in all other respects are fine upstanding citizens, yet are demonstrably susceptible to becoming corrupt through the most minimal of coercions suggests that without strong external preventive measures, corruption can rule the day. Or like so much of the world, it will rule the centuries.

The complacency of the typical American in the Democratic Party to Hilary's massive breaching of the laws regarding malfeasance in office would seem to indicate we're about done. I used to think Stalin's 20 million score was atrocious; now I'm rethinking it.

If the right people's behaviors can be contained by just one wall, it might be what's needed.

Attempts by the Hillary camp to "flip" electors flops...

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/12/...flops.html

A fervent push by anti-Trump forces to persuade electors to defect had turned the normally mundane civic procedure into high drama. But Trump easily surpassed the 270 electoral votes needed to win, as representatives tabbed to cast ballots in accordance with their states’ Nov. 8 decision mostly adhered to the election results. After all the states had voted, Trump finished with 304 votes and Clinton had 227...

Elector antics were few and far between throughout the day, with most the disruptions occurring on the Democratic side...

Washington Secretary of State Kim Wyman vowed to work with the state attorney general and charge the four unfaithful electors with a violation of Washington state civil law. Such violations carry a fine up to $1,000.

With Trump’s win now secured, a joint session of Congress is scheduled for Jan. 6 to certify the results.

Few expected the “faithless elector” push to imperil Trump’s victory on Monday.

Only one Republican elector – Texas’ Chris Suprun – publicly stated he would vote for an alternative candidate. (He backed Kasich, while another Texas elector used his ballot to vote for former congressman Ron Paul.) More than three dozen Republicans would have had to abandon Trump to complicate his path to the presidency...

Those urging disorder in state capitals often cited Clinton’s popular-vote win, by roughly 2.6 million votes, over Trump in November...

As electors met, thousands of protesters descended on state capitals Monday in one last push to convince Trump voters to change their minds...

If nothing else, the furor over Monday’s proceedings has served to re-acquaint Americans with a process that few pay attention to every four years.

The Electoral College was devised at the Constitutional Convention in 1787. It was a compromise between those who wanted popular elections for president and those who wanted no public input.

The Electoral College has 538 members, with the number allocated to each state based on how many representatives it has in the House plus one for each senator. The District of Columbia gets three, despite the fact that the home to Congress has no vote in Congress.

To be elected president, the winner must get at least half plus one -- or 270 electoral votes. Most states give all their electoral votes to whichever candidate wins that state's popular vote. Maine and Nebraska award them by congressional district.

After a joint session of Congress certifies the results on Jan. 6, the next president will be sworn in on Jan. 20.

Trump already is nearly done naming his Cabinet appointees, as he prepares for confirmation hearings and the inauguration ceremonies, in addition to his first 100 days agenda.

Despite the transition process being well underway, Republican electors said they were deluged with emails, phone calls and letters urging them not to support the billionaire businessman in the days and weeks leading up to Monday’s proceedings. Many of the emails were part of coordinated campaigns.

"The letters are actually quite sad," said Lee Green, a Republican elector from North Carolina. "They honestly believe the propaganda. They believe our nation is being taken over by a dark and malevolent force..."

“It’s out of hand when you have such … a small group of people that is pushing so hard against millions if not hundreds of millions of people who still appreciate this whole system,” said Graham, chairman of the Arizona Republican Party. “The Electoral College is part of the Constitution.”
