Very nice. These size freezers are not very efficient but when solar powered who cares?

Nice one UKS!!!

I'm taking myself off grid one item at a time. Finished my smaller items, like mobiles, mp3. Only have battery charger left to go. After that laptop next. I'm going for a Gorilla solar system, with the battery.

Then it is fridges etc. So that find has REALLY saved me loads of time and effort! Thanks mate.

RE: 12 V fridge freezers
For comparison:
Looking at the datasheet for the fridge and assuming a typical average temerature of 70°F (21°C) which is probably still a little high for the UK, the frige is expected to draw 38Ah/day at 12V which is 166kWh/year. Pretty good when compared to a modern 'low energy' mains powered fridge which still draws ~300kWh/year
