I scored a healthy 23 out of 26 in my foundation exam , just waiting for Ofcom to do there bit and I can pick a call sign.

The intermediate licence is considered by many to be harder than the Advanced, so get the second chitty and you'll breeze through your full ticket.

Thanks everyone and yes i'm already contemplating a hf set and significant antennae , maybe a yaesu 450d when funds permit
