The US is definitely withdrawing from its role as the global hegemon. China will certainly benefit from that vacuum. I don’t agree with some of the assumptions about RU and CH. The view of Germany seems accurate, but ignores the smaller independent nations like Poland, and CZ Republic who aren’t inconsequential for European Policy.
The concensus on this side of the pond is that Europe must accept the fact that future US contributions towards their NATO entitlements will be sharply curtailed, and they are having to pay "their fair share" for keeping the Russian Bear at bay.
